Maddie is our wonderful Pilates instructor at The Life Plan.
After obtaining my Level 3 Diploma in Pilates, I now teach weekly online classes to a number of clients, across a wide range of abilities. I have always had a strong passion for fitness and nutrition, which was heightened after moving to Sydney in 2014 where Pilates took centre stage.
I quickly realised that Pilates contributed not only to my physical wellbeing but also mental wellbeing. I found myself eager to get to my Pilates classes and always felt great afterwards, both mentally and physically. That is when I decided I wanted to become qualified to teach so that I could project that feeling onto others and know that they would leave my classes feeling relaxed and energised. From a health point of view, I am extremely hyper-mobile, meaning that certain forms of exercise can over-exert my joints and worst-case scenario, dislocate them. Pilates has enabled me to build up muscle tone and strength meaning a higher amount of support in the joints and consequently preventing injury.
Pilates is extremely under exposed and my aim is to share the benefits with as many people as I can. I very much look forward to teach our Life Plan members - see you in the live classes!
